Gettext error redo from backup

I,m using Ubuntu 11.04 as host compliant lfs user still on host,

Ok I made a mistake in gettext-0.18.1.1 which I found, when I got to (6.17 gcc) but the problem is going back and redoing it. I made a backup, But I think it was after the stripping, So the Question is can I reinstall the backup then go back and redo gettext Only! or should I redo from gettext to the end again.

Hi,

Assuming this is stable LFS 7.0, chapter 5:

The stripping part shouldn't be a problem.

I do believe that you can reinstall the backup, go back to install gettext without having to do the packages that follow (grep [5.24] to xz [5.33]).

Hope this helps.
