elfs run my pc?


for some reason when i su, i always get an error...

tux4prez [ ~ ]$ su

bash: ELF: command not found
root [ /home/tux4prez ]#

ROFL... i have to find your title funny... Check your coreutils... Its seems they've been corrupted...

Actually, it looks like the su command runs successfully, since you do become root. The error may be caused by something in root's .bashrc, which is called after starting a non-login shell. Can you paste the contents of that file?

i agree, i become root sucessfully, and its from playing with .bashrc when i was installing fortune trying to get it to run upon login.

In which case you'd want to put the fortune command in either /etc/profile (for everyone) or /root/.bash_profile, unless you actually do want a fortune each and every time you su to root.
