Download packages question

Hi folks,

From following website;
ftp://ftp.linuxfromscratch.org/pub/lfs/lfs-packages/

I found following packages
lfs-packages-6.0.tar 136250 KB 12/03/2004 12:00:00 AM
lfs-packages-6.1-20050625.tar 149200 KB 06/26/2005 02:45:00 PM
lfs-packages-development-20050625.tar 151130 KB 06/26/2005 02:44:00 PM

'lfs-packages-6.1-20050625.tar' is newer than 'lfs-packages-6.0.tar'.

Please advise;

1)
Whether both tarballs 'lfs-packages-6.0.tar' and 'lfs-packages-6.1-20050625.tar' include all packages listed on
http://www.sg.linuxfromscratch.org/l.../packages.html

2)
If I use 'lfs-packages-6.1-20050625.tar' packages can the manual
http://www.sg.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/6.0/
still work?

3)
If I use 'lfs-packages-6.1-20050625.tar' packages can I still use version 6.0 patches
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches/lfs/6.0/

TIA

B.R.

6.1 is the development version. The instructions differ slightly, as well as the versions are all pretty much the newest ones. If you want to follow the 6.0 book, the 6.0 packages are what you need, otherwise follow the development book. Also, the patches are inside that tar file.

Noted with thaks. I'll follow 6.0 manual as I'm a beginner on LFS.
