Hi,
I just finished building a CLFS pure64 system from the latest git. But when I boot into it, I get these errors:
Code:
[Starting udevd...
error getting signalfd
udev[827]: error getting signalfd
Performing Coldplugging
error sending message: Connection refused
udevadm[831]: error sending message: Connection refused
Setting System clock

Mounting root file-system in read-only mode...
Checking file systems...
fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/sda1
Possibly non-existent device?
After this the system waits for me to press Return and then shuts down. This CLFS build is installed on the /dev/sda1 partition. I have Sabayon-5.4 installed on /dev/sda2 as my host system. This is what fdisk says:
Code:
root:/sources/test# fdisk -ls

The /dev/sda drive is a SATA drive, while /dev/sdb is an IDE/PATA drive. I use lilo as my boot manager (grub2 has consistently failed in the past on my previous builds). This is my lilo.conf
Code:
boot=/dev/sda
prompt
timeout=300
image=/boot/kernel-genkernel-x86_64-2.6.35-sabayon
label=Sabayon
root=/dev/sda2
read-only
image=/boot/vmlinuz-clfs-2.6.37
label=clfs
root=/dev/sda1
read-only
I have not had any problems when I was using reiserfs as my root FS. This is the first time I'm trying ext2, so don't know much about it. I searched for a solution online, but found nothing that was similar to my case. Any help?
EDIT: I don't know how relevant this is, but
Code:
mount -vt ext2 /dev/sda1 /mnt/clfs
executes cleanly.
