[Closed] Is it possible for another user to create a LFS distro for me?

This thread has been closed, thanks for the hate.

Note, we will require a fairly advanced user to create it, as we have very specific needs.

You don't have to be so rude. If you don't like the thread, go somewhere else. I don't want drama cluttering it all up.

I'm sorry to say, I've put some effort in myself. I never asked him to create this thread either but he made it cause he's a nice person and didn't want me to have to struggle with it, as I can't get LFS to work (one of the components won't install correctly for me, and it's a vital one too). If you could please be quiet and be considerate before you comment, that'd be nice. I was actually going to consider paying you then, but no, the rest of your comment put me off and made you look like someone that isn't nice to work with. Sorry.

if you think i'm rude maybe you should think about the reasons for that, I am personally fed up with people thinking that because linux is free everyone who uses it is entitled to free this that and the other , there is too much take take take from people and not enough giving back.

you say you have tried to fix the problems yourself but you dont give details on what problems or what you did to fix them, instead you just think some one is going to do it all for you ( free of charge of course! ), building a complete system takes time and effort, you should try it!

If you have a specific problem post that and give details on what you've tried to fix it and you will get a lot better and more useful replies and people won't get jarred off with yet another poster coming here and demanding help then disappearing never to be seen again and never giving anything back to the community.

...particularly as at this point we have no idea whether LFS is even a useful approach or just a way of making the problem harder/impossible to solve, as it seems to have been for you...

I dont have a problem with LFS I use a full custom desktop based on LFS, busybox and the LFS Desktop Project, my problem is with your attitude, if you had asked if it was possible to do this and gave more details you would have got very different replys, instead you just wade in a try to get some one else to do it all for you.

I'm sorry. Let me go back to my earlier statement. I, am willing to pay for this service, and also I didn't ask for my friend to create this thread. Also, I thought I specified the issue perfectly, one of the required programs won't install correctly and has errors when I attempt to build it. Also, I have tried to build a complete system, but due to multiple errors and retries, I found myself unable to do so. I do not expect people to do it all for me, I expect nothing. I would however like it if someone were to be sensible instead of dishing hate for no reason, and work with me on it so that we can make a joint effort to produce a good system, therefore making it faster and we are able to complete different parts at the same time. I expect nobody to feel they need to do it, and like I said earlier, I will pay for the service if the person wants me to. I hope you can understand what I'm saying this time, and please don't hate on me for expecting anything because I'm not the one that made the thread. I just spoke to my friend about building a system but I had issues so he put up a thread and gave me the link. I am not responsible for anything that goes on here. Thanks ~Nyte

I dont hate you or your friend but this is a community forum not a help desk, maybe you should have words with your friend about reading posting rules on how to ask a question.

I've had enough of replying to this thread as like all the takers out there you see nothing wrong with what you do!

I won't post on this thread again.

My post shows pre packed build scripts by a person nice enough to supply so you guys can build your own LFS with the build scripts.

It took the rocket science part out of building LFS and was supplied for posters like you.
In the learning phase so to speak.

But. You replied before really checking out my link. Which also informs me a little on you.

Thanks I guess??
Because I took out the time to find that for you. Only to have you not check into it completely before you replied. But I have no dog in this hunt.
Happy Trails, Rok

I did check it, and, I already have a way to build everything. It just throws error after error at me, which I mentioned to my friend, so he created this thread. I'm sorry that you perceived my statement the wrong way. Also, sorry for coming across as a douchebag.

1. Since when was I a taker?
2. I haven't done anything wrong anyway, as far as I'm aware anyway.
3. Fair enough, see you then.
