unable to blok form-feed on lprng

Hi,

I´m having a problem with Lprng on SuSE. Here´s the description:

A Suse 8.0 server running Lprng has an Epson LX880 printer connected to lp0.

The Flagship system needs to print half a page every time it submits a job to that printer. That´s because of the two invoices per paper configuration.

The problem is that every time it prints the printer goes to the end ot the page not stopping in the middle.

The same job works on a RedHat running Cups using the default driver with no further configuration.

I´ve already tried several configurations with Yast like printing to a text only printer, printing in native mode and using the omni driver for Epson fx880 and it doesn´t work.

In /etc/pritcap I´ve already used the "sf:" to suppress for-feed and still no success.

Need some help here folks ....

Thanks

Thierry

Have a look at the man pages for lpf, the general printer filter which is part of LPRNG. It allows you to specify page length (# of lines to print) among other things. The man page may also give you hints to changes to make in your printcap file.
