RHEL3.0 Updates

I have been asked to download RHEL v3.0 and install it onto one of our servers.

While downloading the the binaries, I noticed that there are 4 updates (each are 4CDs.

My Question is, are these updates cumulative (meaning, does #4 include 1,2 and 3) or do I have to download and burn all four update sets of cd's. I don't know if this machine will have a connection to the internet, so updating them over the web MIGHT NOT be an option.

also need to make sure that I get kernel-hugemem-2.4.21-4.EL.i686.rpm onto the machine.

How do I tell if the Update #4 has this rpm file included in it?

They are all complete sets of installation CDs, so you should just download the latest (Update 4). An "Update" is just a set of packages - all of the packages updated that quarter. RHEL 3 Update x means RHEL 3 with the specified Update and previous Updates already applied.

up2date will install the latest packages for you anyway, so having updated versions of packages on the install CDs is just a time-saver.

Now you may apply a trial account at : http://www.redhat.com/software/rhel/eval , then you can run up2date to update installed packages freely for 30 days.
