rhel 3 driver disk install

I'm trying to install RHEL 3 u 6 on an IBM x366 and am having troubles doing it remotely because of the driver disk I need to use at load time. I've got a driver disk from nas, and I'm trying to use the linux dd=nfs:server:/path but it doesn't seem to be working. If I try locally with a usb connected floppy, it finds it and is happy. But I need this working remotely, and I can't mount both a floppy disk and a boot iso through the remote console.

Can anyone tell me how to verify if that driver disk from my nfs share has actually been loaded properly? I'm guessing it's not loading correctly and that's why I can only get an install to work locally.

By the way, this system has the sas drives with a ServeRAID 8i raid controller.

Any help out there?
