error while running slapadd


error while running this cmd
slapadd -v -l people.ldif
slapadd: line 5: database (dc=example.com,dc=com) not configured to hold "ou=People,dc=example,dc=com"
slapadd: line 5: database (dc=example.com,dc=com) not configured to hold "ou=people,dc=example,dc=com"

Do you have a base dn called dc=example,dc=com in the instance already?
