DM-Multipath in RHEL 6.3

Hy,

I am new to Linux.
I need to setup DM multipath in RHEL 6.3 which is connected to FC IBM SAN DS3524 storage. There are altogether 12 LUN in storage. I need to map this in two nodes. I represent two nodes as DS1 and DS2. can anyone help me with this. I am following the RHEL DM-Multipath tutorial but finding difficult to configure /etc/multipath.conf file.

Please re-read the LQ Rules...posting the same question in multiple forums isn't a good thing.

And I find it odd that someone who is 'new to linux', would be given the task of configuring what is obviously a large, production server in a corporate environment. IBM SAN's aren't cheap, and you're using RHEL...which means that you can contact both Red Hat and IBM support if you need assistance, and that's what you should do.

There is no simple answer to 'set up DM multipath'; how you want to map things, how you want things to failover, be presented to the OS, etc., are ALL variables. You mention two nodes...meaning what? You mention you want to map 12 LUNS...but don't say how, or in what configuration. Without details we can't help. Again, your best solution would be to contact Red Hat support, since you're using RHEL in a corporate environment and are having problems with Red Hat's own documentation.

to add
"I need to setup DM multipath in RHEL 6.3"
why 6.3 and not the curent 6.5 ?

unless you have a hardware requirement of "MUST USE" xorg less than 1.12
6.5 is using xorg 1.13
