Display

Hi All,

I just upgrade my server to Red Hat 4.3 from 2.1.
I have two problems that you might help(thats stop working since the upgrade).

1. The Display is not working for port 0.
i set the following command:
DISPLAY=local.localdomain:0.0
export DISPLAY
xhost +

In the last command i recieve the following error:
xhost: unable to open display
with port 10.0(VNC) its working.

2. Some printer driver stop working for generic driver
i have two kind of printer:
Xerox 3420
Comida 7145
for those printers i not find drivers for red hat 4.
HP for example work fine.

Thank you for advanced for your help.

Quote:
DISPLAY=local.localdomain:0.0
I think that it should be
Code:
DISPLAY=localhost.localdomain:0.0
Take a look at /etc/hosts for the correct hostname.

Regards
