Question: Running Linux on advertising LCD screen

From a supplier I have a LCD screen that boot of some internal media that shows a splash screen and then retrieves data from USB or CF-card.

Since the CF-card is broken, it shows a nice image then does nothing. I tried connecting a USB-stick with a working Debian usb-install with no reaction.

Tried opening it up, but I see no internal card/rom module. The screen is a no-branded geenric 14-15" inch LCD display. Sticker inside said LQ.

Anyone have an idea for testing ? I don't have a CF-card, might buy that when I have the chance.

If I manage to clear whatever internal data there is, it would by cool to test the opensource displaylink drivers to use it as a router monitor

It's made by wolves electronic technologies.
You could call and ask them what it has on it.
