Which Linux Supports NetGear WG311 v2 Wireless Cards?
I have tried several linux distros, and none of them support My Netgear WG311 v2 Wireless card.
I have tried Suse Linux 9.2 - however; I read 9.2 had very little support for wireless anyways.
Ubuntu 4 - Didn't have much success.
Ubuntu 5 - Didnt even install on my comp, ended up just showing a black screen 5 minutes into the installation.
Ubuntu 5 - Gave up after Ubuntu 5.
Then I downloaded Fedora Core 4.
That didnt even run on my comp.
However, I read that Unbuntu 5 has support for my wireless card right out of the box.
But it didnt work for me, so thats too bad. However - the Live CD does work but the wireless does not.
Does anyone know of a Linux Distro (Besides the ones listed above) That can support my wireless card,
and explain to me Exactly how I would install it, and what extra apps (if needed) I would need to install? Thanks.
I agree. For the record, I did not even have good luck with the WG311 in Windows and replaced two of them in our computers with two D-Link DWL G-520 units.

Hi
I haven't tried the WG311 but on SUSE 10.0 it worked nicely for Netgear's WG511T, so give SUSE 10.0 a go
