You can go for Red Hat 9 or Mandrake 9.2...either one will be good for you.

Both are easy to install and use....

Search the distribution forum as this question is asked all the time, you'll most likely find different suggestions for different people. But we don't truly know which one will work for you, so you should maybe startout with a easier and more friendly installation, etc to go with like what coolamit78 suggested.

i totally agree although i belive that mandrake 9.2 is a little buggy stil, maybe if you can 9.1 or redhat 9.

My only quible with redhat 9 is that is contains less for the begining user, whereas mandrake contains all the tools to make time at the command prompt minimum.

long live linux

if you live in the uk, simply computers.

simply.co.uk were selling suse 8.2 for only £10, that includes manuals and support, suse is aimed at the desktop market, and like mandrake contains as many tools as possible to make time at the command promt a thing of the past.

Mandrake you can buy but is totally free from many places, ociuosly without support.
