Well I've come accross the problem that the system just freezes after displaying "INIT 2.84" on RH 7.3.94 (Beta relase for RH 7.4). I've been doing a server install and installed ALL kernels and the system went fine ... I installed the workstation version with again ALL kernels and the system just freezes.

I installed ALL kernels since I couldn't get the system to boot at all without doing that ... that's a really weird problem and seems to be kernel related or ?

I've got a
AMD 700, 384 MB RAM as file system I've chosen ext3 ... maybe I should give it a go with ext2 also ... will try that later on today!


Anybody knows how to fix that problem ?

if ANYONE has the answer to this question, they would be a God send.....i have hd this problem so many times it is sickening....at first it was with a distro of mandrake, but it turned out that there was a compatibility problem with mandrake and gateway computers, but now the problem is wth red hat 8 and i just dont know.....so anyone who even has the slightest clue.....dont be afraid to help......and markus1982 please post your answer here if you find it from somewhere else......thanks
