SUSE 9.0 personal

After a lot of problems with my attempt at installing slackware this weekend, I went to a computer store to browse around. I picked up the Suse 9.0 personal linux package for my laptop on the fly

I could not really afford this, but because i could not get slackware installed, i thought i would give it a go.

I was disappointed to see that here of all places there is no forum for discussion of Suse!

Anyway, i want to use my system mainly so i can carry on learning to program in C++. I dont 'do' emacs or any text editor style of programming. I will only be happy with a nice GUI IDE - I think KDevelop is in Suse 9.0.

I was wondering if anyone had used their Suse OS for C++ program development.. is it all sound??

LinuxQuestions and SuSE negotiated on this but were unable to come to an agreement.

I used SuSE for three years. It is an excellent distribution.
