remastered debian-live-11.4.0 xfce live cds with Chinese support

I have remastered the debian live 11.4.0 xfce isoes with built-in Chinese input platforms and Chinese language support.

The names of the remastered isoes:
icake32-debian-live-11.4.0-i386-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso
icake64-debian-live-11.4.0-amd64-xfce-est-fFghis.iso

I. At bootup, user can select:

1. user interface language from: (English, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese)

2. Chinese input method platform from: (fcitx, fcitx5, gcin, hime, ibus, scim or yong) Note: the 64 bit system cannot run yong

II. So the maximum number of live systems that can be setup is:7 (Input Platforms) X 3 (User Interfaces) = 21 (18 for 64 bit)

III. The names of the remastered debian live iso contains the following information:

1. System architect:

icake64 - for 64 bit systems
icake32 - for 32 bit systems

2. Puppy English system used

3. Language for user interface
e - Englis
s - Simplified Chines
t - Traditional Chinese

4. Chinese input platforms included (number of Chinese input methods inside):
f - fcitx (33)
F - fcitx5 (36)
g - gcin (16)
h - hime (10)
i - ibus (25)
s - scim (23)
y - yong (25)

e.g. icake32-debian-live-11.4.0-i386-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso
is the 32 bit system based on Debian Live 11.4.0 i386 xfce desktop system
with (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese) user interfaces
and includes (fcitx, fcitx5, gcin, hime, ibus, scim, yong) Chinese input platforms.

These isoes can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ica...t_fFisy_combo/

Chinese support for Debian-live 11.5.0 and 11.6.0 xfce live cds with Chinese support

I. Chinese language support
For each of debian-live 11.5.0 and 11.6.0; 64 and 32 bit English systems with the Xfce desktop, I have created 7 half-Chinese and 2 Chinese debs to provide Chinese support. The names of these debs are:

(A) Half-Chinese debs:
64 bit:
1. fcitx64_4.2.9-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
2. fcitx564_5.0.0-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
3. gcin64_2.9.0-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
4. hime64_0.9.11-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
5. ibus64_1.5.23-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
6. scim64_1.4.18-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb
7. yont64_2.5.0-en-zh-bionic-121.5.1b.deb

32 bit:
8. fcitx32_4.2.9-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
9. fcitx532_5.0.0-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
10. gcin32_2.9.0-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
11. hime32_0.9.11-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
12. ibus32_1.5.23-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
13. scim32_1.4.18-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb
14. yong32_2.5.0-en-zh-bionic-120.5.1b.deb

(B) Chinese debs:
1. Simplified Chinese:
64 bit:
DL64_11.6.0xfce-zhcn-121.5.1b.deb
DL64_11.5.0xfce-zhcn-121.5.1b.deb

32 bit:
DL32_11.6.0xfce-zhcn-120.5.1b.deb
DL32_11.5.0xfce-zhcn-120.5.1b.deb

2. Traditional Chinese:
64 bit:
DL64_11.6.0xfce-zhhk-121.5.1b.deb
DL64_11.5.0xfce-zhhk-121.5.1b.deb

32 bit:
DL32_11.6.0xfce-zhhk-120.5.1b.deb
DL32_11.5.0xfce-zhhk-120.5.1b.deb

(C) Functions:
1. the half-Chinese language debs under (A) will enable you to display and input Chinese in the English DebianLive system versions 11.5.0 and 11.6.0 with the Xfce desktop using 1 of the 7 input method platform:
a. fcitx - with 33 Chinese input methods
b. fcitx5 - with 36 Chinese input methods
c. gcin - with 16 Chinese input methods
d. hime - with 10 Chinese input methods
f. ibus - with 25 Chinese input methods
g. scim - with 23 Chinese input methods
h. yong - with 25 Chinese input methods

2. the name and version number corresponding Chinese language debs under (B) will give you Simplified Chinese (zhcn) or Traditional Chinese (zhhk) menus, icon labels, tooltips for DebianLive system versions 11.5.0 and 11.6.0, English language with the Xfce desktop. Please note that all Chinese language deb rely on a suitable half-Chinese language deb already installed to the system (see section A above)to provide Chinese input platform and Chinese fonts.

(D) Known issues
For the 64 bit systems (both 11.5.0 and 11.6.0), the Chinese input platform yong can run normally under en_US locale but does not work under locales zh_HK and zh_CN. The current solution is to use en_HK locale for the Traditional Chinese desktop and en_SG locale for the Simplified Chinese desktop. However this approach has 1 known issue: the libreoffice menus and sub-menus are still English.

(E) Usage
More details about these half-Chinese and Chinese debs can be found in a user manual pdf file: "icake_debianlive_chinese_debs_user_guide" written in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

II. Combo iso
I have also remastered these debian live systems with built-in Chinese input platforms plus Simplified and Traditional Chinese language support into these 4 icake combo live cds:
icake32-debian-live-11.6.0-i386-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso
icake32-debian-live-11.5.0-i386-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso
icake64-debian-live-11.6.0-amd64-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso
icake64-debian-live-11.5.0-amd64-xfce-est-fFghisy.iso

(A) At bootup, user can select:
1. user interface language from: [ English, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese ]

2. Chinese input method platform from: [ fcitx, fcitx5, gcin, hime, ibus, scim or yong ]

(B) So the maximum number of live systems that can be setup from any one of these combo cds is 21:
7 (Input Platforms) X 3 (User Interfaces) = 21

(C) The names of the remastered debian live combo iso contain the following information:
1. System architect:
icake64 - for 64 bit systems
icake32 - for 32 bit systems

2. English name of system used

3. Language for user interface
e - English
s - Simplified Chinese
t - Traditional Chinese

4. Chinese input platform used in deb(number of Chinese input methods inside):
f - fcitx (33)
F - fcitx5 (36)
g - gcin (16)
h - hime (10)
i - ibus (25)
s - scim (23)
y - yong (25)

III. Download
These debs and user guide can be downloaded from the public sharing folders here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ica...Debian%20Live/

https://sourceforge.net/projects/ica...s/Debian Live/
