partioning the free space in fedora 12

i would like to ask is there anyway that we can partition the free space of the file system into another partition like NTFS or FAT type from the GUI itself in Fedora12 because i haven't partitioned my file system itself now i want to install windows7 for the partition if it is done from the free space of my file system.

No, you need to boot from a Live CD and use GParted Partition Editor.

(you can't change the tires on your car while you're driving)

Since Fedora 12 is obsolete for some time, maybe this is a good opportunity to back everything up and do a fresh install of Windows 7 and the latest Fedora 16?

also fedora 12 is a old and UNSUPPORTED version
it went End Of Life in Dec 2010, 14 months ago

please stay current and install the current fedora 16
then in 4 months fedora 17 when it comes out.
