My Suse 9 Pro gives me a media check error when trying to install

Hi all

My problem is as follows:

When the installer is checking all the settings to use. ie partion,time zone, software to load, my software section comes back with "media Check error".

What could be the cause of this. This is frustrating me to high heavens.

Your help is greatly appriciated.

(by the way i have a feeling that the cd didn't burn right.)

I have had similar problems but unfortunately different distributions give different error messages. Either it is a hardware problem, such as a problem with the hard drive, or it is the CD. My money is that the CD is the media that the installation is referring you to. Always look at the most simple solution first and then go from there.

had same prob and was solved by throwing away DVD drive...
Try changing drive!
