Morphix Woes

I've been playing around with live-CDs a bit lately (Morphix and PHLAK) and for some reason none of them seem to work right. The problems happen mostly at random, but heres a list:
*Symantic crashes
*Partition Morpher gives a seg. fault
*Terminals don't work
*Desktop does not load themes, etc. properly
*Other software crashes or seg. faults
*X does not detect any screens (only on morphix-iceWM-0.5-pre5
*settings are randomly loaded/ not loaded after restarts.

I know its not a bad burn, because I've been using 2 computers for this. Maybe because I'm running on x86_64? I've never had any problems with i386 software on this architecture before.
