Question Mandrake 9.1 Control centre problems

Hi,

I have problems with Mandy 9.1 control centre. When I click to open it I get a loading please wait message for a second or two and then nothing. I have been told it is related to the following errors I have received, but what do they mean and how do I rectify it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

kdecore (KLocale): WARNING: found no definition of PluralForm for en_GB
xauth: creating new authority file /home/iain/.Xauthority
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0.0
xauth: creating new authority file /home/iain/.Xauthority
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0.0
xauth: creating new authority file /home/iain/.Xauthority
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info
set for display :0.0

These errors were obtained by runing mcc as advised by a mandy club forum. Similar errors are generated whilst KDE is running.

Cheers

Iain

Hmm, how are you geting to X? Your display manager should set your xauth information for you when you log in. This step might be omitted if you're loging in to the console and typing startx or xinit.

If that's not helpful, try having a look at the xauth man page for help on setting auth rules.

I've sorted the auth problem thanks to your help but I am still getting the plural error and it still doesn't work. Any further thoughts?

Cheers

Iain
