Knoppix your gonna love this.

Knoppix 7.6 Will run KODI nicely. Further, ctl alt right arrow will allow you to change desktops, so while KODI is running on your desk1 you can be working on a term paper on desk2. HDMI to your tv...well you know better than I. Use the Knoppix installer to install flashplayer and stay away from pepperflash. libdvdcss-1.2.11 will allow knoppix to play DVD's. Also workd on ubuntu and debian. Download the tarball, extract and follow the install direction as sudo. KNOPPIX barely runs from cd. It is fast from an Sandisk 16 gig 2.0 usb stick. Haven't tried to run knoppix on a Raspberry Pi yet but that would truely be awesome. Able to get onto the internet while using Kodi on a 35 dollar machine....I'll probably be dead before I get back so have a nice life...
