I'm using SuSE and am considering switching to Knoppix. Does anyone have advice on whether I should make the switch? If so what do you recommend. I'm a newbie and like SuSE, but I'm looking for a change and some more challenges.
SuSE is a desktop distro, while Knoppix, while it can be installed onto the HD, is a LiveCD. If you want a challenge, try gentoo. Although I've never tried it, I hear that it's really fun trying to install it.
I would suggest staying with SuSE. Knoppix is mainly a liveCD. Even if it can be installed on the HD it isn't made for that. SuSE on the other hand is made to be a good desktop OS.
