those are some great ideas, i practice the first 2 (with any OS) and was planning on the dvd backup but will have to look into it some more because i really dont know that much about making a live dvd

You'll find lots of information on 'mklivecd' in the new user guide, the wiki and in the forums. I'd suggest a thorough read before proceeding with it as there can be issues. But with a thorough reading on the subject, you can prepare yourself for complete success, IMO. Or you may choose to simply use the command. I'm in favor of learning.

well dvds are expensive here $20 for 25pk and dont want to have dvd lamp i dont mind wasting the cd-r's so i will dl the pages i need and read them when i get ready to do it
on another note i'm going to convert my mom from winblozes xp to PCLOS next weekend
does anybody know if you can run the sims on wine it would have to very stable
or i may just do a dual boot that would most likely be the best route to go damn M$ there is no real way to get away from them

I do not know if wine will do the job. I have heard that it will, and I have heard that it won't. Dual-booting would probably be the way to go on that.
