If I could motivate you to give it another try, I'd suggest that you try Amigo. Search for posts by gnashley on LinuxQuestions --- he has provided tons of tips and created this really neat full-featured but minature sized Linux distribution, based on Slackware 9.1.

Well, that PC is history, and Slackware would not run on it anyways. I figured it was not worth my time and that it would hardly be used anyways. But thanks for the reply.
