Question how to actually keep password? (MDK9.1)

On programs that require the root password to run 9.1 pops up with a window asking for the password, there is also a check box for 'keep password' problem is that it never does, is there any way to fix this?

Thanx in advance,

You could login as root! But don't! It is not advised to always use your root account or have access to your root accounts "superiority". Just "su root" whenever you want root access - it's much safer.

I was just trying to make a link on my desktop to run a script I wrote so I don't have to type a half dozen commands in the console. Well, I guess it knocked off typing 'su' and the script name.

Why not run:
su - root -c /path/to/scriptname

Then you can just enter the root password.

already running just the root password by making a link to script on the desktop, I was just trying to have the link automatically run the password too.

Oh well, maybe I'll just make my password shorter..
