emerge ati-drivers stops preemted


Then I emerge ati-drivers for gentoo the procedure suddenly stops at a certain location. After this nothing more happens. I've tried to emerge with -doc.

Does it freeze? Dump back to console? What behavior do you get at that point? What version of portage do you have?

Problem solved. For some reason the procedure freeze for approximatly 5mins. However after that it continues and finishes.

Seems like it might be scanelf - you just have to wait apparently.
Haven't seen the issue myself with that level of ati-drivers.
