configsave in backtrack linux

Someone in the security forum turned me on to backtrack linux. I read up on slax upon which it is based, and saw how to save my configuration to a USB stick.

But when I run configsave /mnt/sda1_removable/slaxconf.mo as the manual says, I get a simple "can't write..." to that file.

Perms are 777, ownership not an issue... is there something different about how configs are saved in bt? I finf absolutely no documentation anywhere specific to bt,not even on the cd... anybody ever done this/know how? (I also searched LQ and elsewhere for the last couple days for this info)

solved

Backtrack is one heck of a tool. I found vulns in my ftp server I had previously not known of. Lots to learn, and an excellent distro made to learn it. Hats off to whoever put backtrack together.

And I sort of "solved" the persistent config on a USB stick problem I was having. I moved over to a machine that actually has USB that works.
