Question Comparing Distros

Hi,

Up to now I'm a happy OpenSuse 10.0 user, but sense that the way Suse is headed (version 10.1) is not going to do for me. Since Novell Suse has always been lousy on multimedia support, which meant I went through a steep learning curve to sort out a system on which I can rip/ edit/ capture and view/listen to multimedia stuff. I don't want to do that again everytime I upgrade the OS.

Anyway, is there are comparison 'table' anyone knows of? You know, the sort of thing were one can compare the philosophies, features and abilities of distros?

Thanks

I also just remembered that there was an article "Distro Smackdown" in Tux the Magazine, Issue 12 (April 2006). Free registration is required...
