Question coLinux & X Help

OK, so I have coLinux installed on my work laptop (IBM ThinkPad if it matters). I'm using the Debian distro. I'm behind the corporate firewall but I don't think that's the issue. I have CygWin/X up as my X-Server on Windoze and I get the coLinux console up. I can ping coLinux from WinXP and vice versa. What I can't do is get X Windows working!

I have tried everything I could find out on the Wiki or wherever. I installed KDE & Gnome I tried to get xdm, kdm, gdm and vnc all to work with no luck.

I am not a complete noob, but I am new to this. What components do I need to have working for X to start happening? I am fairly confident that Cygwin/X works as it's xterm & other xapps work. When I try to start something from coLinux I get Can't open Display errors.

Could it be a port that needs to be open between coLinux and WinXP?

Doug
