centos 5.6 vs centos 6


hi experts ,
i want to install a gw-server and dns server ;i want wich the best to select entos 5.6 or centos 6 .i tried centos 5.6 ,its better but when i tried centos 6 i find some problems for my server.

Either OS should be fine as a gateway and dns server. In fact any Linux OS would do.

Though you may however like to consider using a minimal package set if you are short of space and power (old machine).

If those were the choices however chose the newer one as it should (presumably) have less bugs, more features, and a longer time before final end-of-life. But really it is not that important.
