Hello,

I've used BackTrack 3 and 4 some time ago. It's mainly a distribution focused on security engineers/administrators and is very well equiped with the necessary tools to do penetration testing and white hat hacking. There are some great tutorials, even videos going around on the internet, a well maintained forum as it looks, a dedicated Wiki, and much more. If you're into security then it's definitely worth a look.

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

That can be done automatically with the Macbuntu package from Sourceforge so why would anyone go to the trouble downloading and reinstalling Ubuntu?

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi,

Yes, under the hood nothing changes, just the look of Ubuntu changes to that of MacOS, but it's still Ubuntu.

Kind regards,

Eric

Ubuntu already looks quite similar to Mac OSX. I converted to Debian because everyone was asking about my new Mac after I installed Lucid.

when gnome 4 is out, it is nicer than macosx,
however, Mac Lion will be something the computer world is looking for.
