64 bit distro
I am building a 64 bit box and I am looking for a good 64 bit distro. I need all codecs and DVD stuff pre-installed. I intend to do torrents, movie rips, and WINE if I can't find native Linux progs to do what I need. I have tried several 32 bit distros and I liked Sabayon, but my old machine wasn't fast enough to run it properly. My new machine will have a Pentium 3.73 Gig with 4 Gig ram. Can anyone suggest one or more 64 bit distros I might use? Thanx, Tammerlane.

Welcome to LQ!
Kubuntu, Fedora, etc
For Mp3 codecs etc you need to add special repositories to your package manager.. that is it
If you do not have broadband then Mint has 'many types' of codecs pre-installed or go in for some custom spin
PC-BSD, Free BSD,
