Question 32MbRam and glibc2.3. Witch distro?

Hi,

I would like to set up some old P1 32Mb ram to work for software developpement. The language i use (acucobol) needs glibc2.3 but all the distros i find with it say they need at least 64Mb ram.
I don't need the graphical environement, just text mode so any of you guys know of a distro that can be installed on that kind of pc and has glibc2.3 ?
I've tryed to upgrade glibc on my old Suse7.1(glibc2.2) and i almost commited suicide

Thanks for any help.

Would it be possible just to add some more RAM into that machine? That would certainly give you better performance plus increase your options. -- J.W.
