What do you mean by basics?

I have small query that how Ubuntu will auto mount the NTFS partation (detect the another HDD)

You need to install ntfs-config

Code:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install ntfs-config

Then run ntfs-config, t should be in the menu System > Administration
