I was extracting some deleted files from my HDD and had to restart my computer. The HDD is full and the admin account will not come back on. It is an all black screen.

I am able to sign in as GUEST. As GUEST I can delete some files thinking the HDD is over filled and that is why the admin account is blank after login, but GUEST login is not.

GUEST cannot see file system "permission denied" error. I must be ROOT

I use the command

That password is default and unknown on this computer. I tried everything from
etc, none of them worked.

Maybe it is the other admins password. This computer had another admin password but I forgot it and used the 2nd account made.

There is normally no root login on Ubuntu. If you want a root shell do 'sudo bash'. If you don't have sudo rights, then maybe you can repair the admin account by booting to single user mode and fixing whatever is wrong, or creating a third admin account.
