I have installed and used Slack in Virtualbox - don't know if that's acceptable in your case...

Yes I'm typing from Slackware64-14 in Vmplayer running on windows 7. If I remember correctly the only trouble I had was with lilo installing correctly during installation.

Not VMplayer, but I've installed Slackware13.37 in VMware workstation and it worked fine.

What issue you are having exactly?

Regards.

ALL,

I am having the issue of creating the partitions it needs to install via vmplayer. I get to the installation screen and then it asks me to create the partitions. No matter what I do I can not do it.

I just felt that the installation had an error in it.

I am going to try again. I have installed a lot of different Operating systems in vmplayer so I know that it is functioning ok.

What happens when you try to use cfdisk to create the partitions before running setup?
