"Quatation mark / comma key in the keyboard is not working properly...!"


Hi,
I have installed Linux Mandriva in my system ,processor is AMD64.
I have problem with the Comma/Quatation key in the keyboard.For getting that mark i have to press it twice and in the terminal shell it is not working at all..
Could you help me to overcome this problem...

Hello,

Have you tried removing the key and see if it is just getting stuck, and possibly cleaning it?

Use the command xev in a terminal, then press the single-quote key and see what it says: you should have a line containing
keycode 48 (keysym 0x27, apostrophe)
Do you get that, or something else?

That's the apostrohe, not the comma.
