Pidgin (IM) not listing Office Communicator protocol even though MS Communicator plugin is installed

Hi All,

I'm running RHEL6.6 (64 bit) and want to use Pidgin for communication, since on linux i can't use Lync, Pidgin is the only solution I have to communicate in office. I have installed purple-sipe-1.18.5-1.el6.i686.rpm but still Office Communicator protocol doesn't show up in the list for protocol selection. Can anyone please help?

This is essentially a duplicate of another thread you have about this same issue. Pay for RHEL and install the missing dependencies through the RHN, or load a different, up-to-date OS.

Hi Balaji,

I've sky, but that's not free software. Fee version supports only 2 min of voice call and 2 min of desktop sharing.

Kind regards,
Aniruddha
