Nesting windows?

I've always wondered but never found any information on this so I guess I check and see if anyone else has come across this.

Does anyone know of either a window manager or a program that allows you to nest some windows inside of another window. I don't mean another x server. but just something that you could drag a window into and it would get contained in some kind of container window.

I don't know if that makes sense. And I have a hunch that there isn't anything out there with it, but I figure that it's worth a shot.

I know for sure there's at least one window manager that lets you nest windows, but I can't remember what it's called.
