MPlayer - finds codec yet will not play

This is the first time this has ever happened with a dvd. Basically, the codec is found, the dvd starts to play, and then exits as if its the end. I have tried each chapter and each results in the same thing. Here's the output from MPlayer:

I've update all my systems drivers as well as downloaded and compiled a new version of mplayer. Im wondering if its a decryption error, Im not too sure how to tell. The DVD is a new release Disney release full screen, "Cars". Its a sony dual layer dvd rw.

Has anyone else run into a similar problem or could point me in the right place.

60 titles but only one chapter? No audio channels found? Sounds like it may be a copy-protected disk. Some new disks are being released with deliberately encoded errors and file-system arrangements that cause computer programs to choke when they attempt to read/copy them. It's the same kind of passive copy-protection that they first tried with cd's in the early days. I ran across a similar problem a while back when I tried to watch a rental version of The Corpse Bride.

I got time to start looking back into this. It apparently found a key for the DVD (this was once stored in ~/.mplayer/DVDKeys but after installing the new mplayer it stored it under ~/.dvdcss/) It shows up as of course a directory CRZ0NNF1-2006072600095500-6acb11d3bf/.

Perhaps it found a bad key (if this is possible). Is there a way to make it produce other keys?
