Question Mouse does not work in chubby puppy linux

I am brand new to linux and thought I'd give chubby linux a try. I ran it off a cd that I downloaded from puppylinux. All worked great until I first had to put in some settings and I put in my mouse settings wrong. So when the cd booted up I did not have a usuable mouse. I know that my settings were saved to a file on my harddrive hda1 directory file name pup001. I can't find this file on my harddrive to change it or delete it. So I can't use my mouse when trying to use puppy linux. I would appreciate any help on this. Thanks. - ussycat
