Metacity - is there a way to enable "active borders"?

Hello everybody!

I always use KDE on my main computer but in these days I'm trying the GNOME environment too.
The problem is that i was used to switch between virtual desktops with "Active borders" (moving the mouse pointer over the screen edge) and now in GNOME/Metacity I can't find this option.
Is there a way to enable this feature or do I have to switch desktops with the panel applet only?

After a quick search, it appears that Metacity doesn't natively support "edge flipping". There is a program called brightside that should give you the functionality you are looking for.
