I already have vlc Player.But it is not working when i double click the file which i need to run.Is there any other player which runs avi or other media files run when double click?
vlc player is working ,but i have to right click and select run with vlc player.
If i double click it opens Movie player ,i think it comes default with ubuntu 9.0.Then it says

The search will also include software which is not officially supported.
anyway can you tell me how to installe mplayer to my machine?
i know that if there is a def file we can install it using double click as we done in Windows XP.
this is happen when i run your code using terminal?
