Question kmail not responding, in ubuntu 10.04

hi,

I am using kmail in ubuntu 10.04, in pentium duel-core processor, with 2gb ram. from few days when i am opening the kmail is failing.

i went to system monitor->processes. for kmail it is showing status as "uninterruptible" and waiting channel as sync_page. after 1 or 2 hours kmail is opening without doing anything.

i restarted and reinstalled the kmail. but no use.. what can i do. what will be the problem kmail or the hardware configuration is not enough?

(kmail version 4:4.4.8)

That should be plenty hardware juice run Kmail. If you installed it from the repos, it ought to have dragged in all its dependencies.

Try shutting done Kmail, then starting it from a terminal command line with the kmail command.

Give it a while, then check the error messages that appear in the terminal and post them here.

"kmail(3723) KMFolderMaildir::indexStatus: index: QDateTime("Mon Feb 27 15:05:24 2012")
<unknown program name>(3722)/: Communication problem with "kmail" , it probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." "
"

when i am going to open the kmail... it is giving the error like this and the status and waiting channel is same.. uninterruptible and sync_page....
