I have installed Kubuntu on my home computer, after not having much problems with it on my gaming rig, but when it gets to the login screen the resolution is only 800x600 and I can't change it in System Settings>Monitor & Display...
...but if I Ctrl+Alt+F1 > 'sudo /etc/init.d/kdm stop' '/etc/init.d/kdm start' it comes back up as the proper resolution ranges.
I have added:
Code:
kcmrandrrc_display_applyonstartup="true"
# kcmrandrrc [Screen0]
kcmrandrrc_screen0_height="864"
kcmrandrrc_screen0_reflectx="false"
kcmrandrrc_screen0_reflecty="false"
kcmrandrrc_screen0_refresh="75"
kcmrandrrc_screen0_rotation="0"
kcmrandrrc_screen0_width="1152"
to ~/.kde/share/config/startupconfig, xorg.xonf also has all my modes, there was another file (Can't remember which one) in ~/.kde/share/config/ that had the proper resolution in it, I don't see where its going wrong!
Any help would be appreciated so I don't have to remove kdm from startup...
