KDE: "quick launch" icons all over the panel

Hello.

I have got a problem with KDE Plasma 4 in Linux Mint KDE.

When I remove, or add an icon, the icons go tightly to right like I want.

([I] <- icon)
(' <- space between icons, take it as nothing)

Like this.

[I][I][I][I]

But whenever I restart, it scatters to the end like this.

[I]'''''''''''''''''''[I]'''''''''''''''''[I]''''''''''''''''''[I]

(I can not send screenshots.)

Can anyone help it keep tight next to each other?

Try this: Right-click on the desktop. Select Folder Settings-->Icons. Options for arranging icons are in that dialog.

I have not tested this, as I don't like desktop icons. I just happen to have VM with KDE open at the moment.

I mean the panel, not the desktop.
And it did not help.

Drat. Sorry.

I looked in the Panel Settings and couldn't find anything that looked relevant.

Once you have the icons positioned as you want them, have you tried right clicking on the panel, then left click on panel options, and finally, left click on "lock Widgets"?
Just a thought.

I lock interface elements (I think you meant these.) every time I finish customizing.

Try adding a flexible sized spacer. (Add spacer, drag it to where you want it, right click on it and check "set flexible size")

A Task Manager Widget will take up all blank space also.
