KBFX no worky

I installed kbfx on my Slack 11 machine running kde 3.5.4 and kernel 2.6.19. I can run the kbfxconfigapp, but I can't add the applet to my menu(it just doesn't appear) and I can't seem to theme my bar. Now sure what to do.

Tried installing a few different versions, so not sure. Compiled and the .tgzs linked. Anyone have an idea?

When you install kbfx, you then right click on an empty space on kicker (the panel), choose to add an applet and you should see kbfx listed somewhere. Is that what you are doing?

I wonder whether its a bug in KDE 3.5.6 because I have just noticed that kbfx does not show up anymore in my list of kicker applets.

I updated my Baghira theme, uninstalled kbfx then recompiled the latest release, then it appeared. Go figure =/
