Java Plugin Status

Is the Java plugin-1.7x safe yet? I'm not greatly security conscious but I'm not installing something I know is broken.

Thanks. So Java 1.7_7 is OK. I read somewhere that a patch was out that only hit one of the 2 vulnerabilities. Must have been wrong.

Now I'm sticking this in, and I found in the README
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...me-430162.html

some comment about encryption - how they had ok encryption included, but you could download stuff to make it better. Then they send you off into bouncing from one design document to the other. Did anyone get a url for the better encryption download? It's certainly allowed here.

EDIT: jre1.7.0_7 actually sets up in a jre1.6.0_35/ directory :-/.
