Is ubuntu going the right way? Do they know where they're going?

Amazing - I download the new ubuntu, 'update' should I say, and, whaaat, but I can't connect with my dongle - so, ok, I think, let's buy that new Mifi 3 is offering - I have my wifi phone so why not? So, yes, it connects, but now it wants a 'partial upgrade' - wtf? So waiting half an hour and, then, try to play an mp3 and it doesn't have the codecs! W T F! If Mr Shuttleworth wants to make this distro 'popular' he has a long way to go!It is not functional, it's broken - two steps back. And, btw, taking away hal just for a faster boot up is just vain, just stupid!

Mr Shuttleworth, you will end up having to put HAL back - and then who will be embarrassed!

Why? Policykit is going to be replacing Hal and udev in the near future.

One of the biggest drawbacks of Ubuntu is being able to safely upgrade to a new release.
